Once upon a time there was a very poor family. The father was a wood cutter who was very sweet and loved his two children very much. His children Hansel and Retell were very smart children and also loved their father very much. Their mother had died and now they had a very mean mother that nobody liked. Their mother didn't worked and was always complaining at how little food they had.
The next day their step-mom was so horrible mad that she locked the two children in their room and gave them only one slice of bread an d a few drops of water. That night they went back into the forest and Hansel dropped small bits of his own bread. When they were deep into the forest their father left and then they started to try to find their way back. Hansel had forgotten about the hungry birds and after he had dropped the bread the birds the had eaten it. They try to find their way back but soon decide they were lost. "Oh my gosh! It's delicious!" Gretel said. "Ha, ha, ha!" An ugly witch stepped out from behind the gingerbread house. She dragged them into her house. "You" She said pointing at Hansel, "I will eat. Then you-little girl- I will make you my servant and then I will eat you too." She said looking at Gretel She locked Hansel in a cage and tired to fatten him up before she ate him. The witch didn't have very good eyesight and every day he would stick out a bone that Gretel gave him and she would say that he was not fat enough. This happened for 3 days and then she decide that she was going to eat him any way. Their father was crying but when he saw them he ran to them and greeted them with a hug. "Your mother is dead and now we have enough money that I won't have to work and we will always have enough food." Their father said and he was right. From that day on they lived happily ever after.
