If you ever plan to visit Petra, you will see that it is breath-taking and why it was named one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Petra, meaning "rock" in Greek, is a famous place in Jordan. It is a "rose-red city" carved in rock made about it the 6th century B.C.E.It's technical name is Rekem, which is mentioned in the Dead Sea Scrolls (to read more about this, click here.)People on Camel


It is thought that the Nabataeans Arabs (na-bah-tea-ins) once occupied Petra, but the creator is unknown (to learn more about them, click here).

Rock and Donkey
The caves where the (thought to be) Nabataeans Arabs (na-bah-tea-ins)
lived. Currently, people still live in Petra, so these donkey are probaly in their possesion.
