Who:
Usually, the kids of
the parents are the ones celebrating them. But basically anyone can celebrate
this holiday.
What:
A holiday to show our appreciation to our parents.
Where:
Anywhere
When:
Mother's Day - The second Sunday of May
Father's Day - The third Sunday of June
Why:
To show our parents that we really do appreciate all that they give us and how much they have to
sacrifice to make sure we are happy, safe, fed, educated, and clothed.
How:
Most family give their guardians one of the following:
-
Clean the house for them
-
Make them breakfast in bed
-
Have them take a day off and go to the spa,
golf course, mall, or any place they enjoy going
-
Give them cards
-
Give them stuff that can help them with everyday
life
Example: Clothes, books, navigational devices, power tools, gardening/cooking
tools, etc.
-
People also tend to take their mom
or dad out to dinner and have a special day.
