Every year, we celebrate Columbus day, looking back on the time when Columbus "discovered" America. There is evidence everywhere that Columbus was not the first exporer to find America, and the Vikings, (Norse tribes) were there long before he was. Columbus also has records of treating Natives cruelly throughout his stay in America. Yet we still celebrate the holiday.
